Victoria Hands

Victoria is passionate about education for sustainability, and ensuring young people have access to and enjoy being in nature. She has worked in London universities since 1998. She is Director of the Sustainability Hub at Kingston University, having spearheaded the sustainability function at the London School of Economics & Political Science where she also studied for her Phd in sustainability, after working as a researcher at London South Bank University. She is an IEMA accredited environmental auditor.

Victoria has instigated and led award-winning collaborative partnerships in reduction, reuse and recycling and is chair of the London Universities Environment Group (LUEG) and is also part of the Women on Fire community.

What does Embercombe mean to you?

For me Embercombe is about possibilities, bringing the school curriculum to life.
