Embercombe’s 25th Anniversary Celebration
Inviting all our friends, family, and those we are yet to meet, to our celebration!
10.30am – 10.00pm on 27 April 2024
In true Embercombe style this will be a joyous collective day, with the opportunity to deepen your connection with our community and revisit our land.
Who Is This For?
This is for anyone that Embercombe has touched, their friends and families and others who are curious to find out more about what we do.
What Can You Expect?
We will take the opportunity to collect memories and produce some lasting records of Embercombe’s first 25 years and to look towards the next 25.
The day will include a mix of workshops, land-based working parties, a big co-created ceremony, and music from our friends and community. If you feel called to lead a workshop or create something for the event, please email our team at email@example.com
– Plant-based meals will be available to purchase from food trucks on the day. These will cost approximately £8 – £12.
– Pre-purchase a soup ticket for a portion of soup cooked over the Hearth fire by our kitchen team.
– Bring your own food with you.
CROCKERY, CUPS & CUTLERY:
We will not be able to provide cups, crockery or cutlery for the numbers in attendance, so no matter which food and drink options you go for, please bring a plate / bowl, cup and cutlery with you. There will be a washing up station so that you can clean and dry these for re-use or packing away in your bag.
TEA & COFFEE:
There will be free tea and coffee on offer in our Dining Yurt throughout the day. Please note that this is an alcohol-free event.
TRAIN / COACH: We are putting on a coach from Exeter St Davids to and from Embercombe.
- The coach will leave Exeter St Davids at 10am on Saturday 27 April 2024 to head to Embercombe.
- The return coach will leave Embercombe at 9pm on Saturday 27 April 2024 to head to Exeter St Davids.
Although this is likely to be a 25 minute journey, please allow up to 45 minutes travel time for booking train tickets.
CAR: If coming by car, we encourage lift-sharing to reduce the impact on the environment and to ease pressure on parking. When registering for the event, you will receive a link to a Whatsapp Group to organise lift sharing with other guests.

An Invitation From Mac
“It would be great to have you here with us – to celebrate our shared journey, express our gratitude to this wild and beautiful earth, and to each other; to feel truly connected and profoundly glad to be alive at such a crucially important time as this.
I hope to join hands with you on this special occasion.
With deep respect and appreciation, Mac”

Embercombe's 25th Anniversary Celebration
Your Stay at Embercombe
Embercombe is a beautiful 50 acre rewilding estate on the edge of Dartmoor. It is a place to find a deep connection with nature – wild nature around us and wild nature within us. Our land is a mix of nature scapes to reconnect with, from mature oak woodlands that are over 150 years old, meadows and pastures, to various fruit orchards and gardens to explore, as well as our sacred stone circle and sacred well to seek counsel from. It is a place for nature connection, self development, inspiration and engaging in nature.
Accommodation and facilities
There is the opportunity to stay in one of our beautiful yurt villages or to camp in our Well Field at the top of the valley the night before and after the event. Each yurt is furnished with comfortable beds and a wood fired stove. Both yurt villages and the campsite in the Well Field will have compost toilets and running water.
Full bathroom facilities with hot showers are available in the main building. Please note you will need to book your accommodation when purchasing your event tickets and it will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
