Join us for a day of volunteering on our wild land.
We will be carrying out some coppicing of overgrown trees along our stream. This work is to open up the stream and allow more light to reach the stream edge and woodland floor, with the aim of regenerating the land to benefit wildlife particularly woodland flowers, butterflies and other invertebrates.
Anyone is welcome, and no previous experience is necessary.
All training and tools provided.
Hot drinks and biscuits provided, but please bring a pack lunch, water bottle and flask if you have one. Please be aware we will be working alongside a stream which has steep sides in places and uneven ground. Places are limited so PLEASE only book if you are sure you can come as we usually have a waiting list.
What to bring:
Wear suitable outdoor clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or damaged
Sturdy footwear such as wellies or walking boots.
Work/gardening gloves if you have them
A packed lunch and plenty to drink. Hot drinks and biscuits provided.
Please note, tasks may be subject to change and may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions for the safety of those involved. We will try to go ahead as much as possible even if it is raining.
