Resilience & Self-sustainability
The world is changing fast. Towards what, is still unclear but whether our eyes are darkly tinted or bright with possibilities, we all long for a kinder, just, peaceful and flourishing world. There is no future if exhaustion and depletion undermine our capacity to function. Often the expectations we put on ourselves, shadow our best intentions, it is unsustainable. We can all contribute to a better world but simultaneously we would be wise to develop strategies that allow us to strengthen at the core, become more resilient and build vitality.
There is no solution that will magically disperse the harsh reality of needs that exceed our capacity to provide but we do have a choice over our experience. Mac Macartney explores the power of leadership in supporting wellbeing and invites us to become not only resilient, but to flourish.
Mac Macartney
Mac founded Embercombe in 1999. He was also the founder and CEO of a leadership consultancy for corporate executives operating internationally between 1989-2005. Over a period of twenty years Mac was mentored and coached by a group of Native American teachers. During this training and ever since he has attempted to bring two worlds together – an ancient world view that emphasises relationship, interdependence, and reverence for life with the huge challenges and equally huge opportunities of the 21st Century.
