Facilitating Connection – The Alchemy of Land, Community and Craft

10:00 am on 12th February to 15.30 pm on 16th February 2018

We are offering a unique and powerful training opportunity for teachers and facilitators of children, young people and adults. This immersion will expand your theoretical and experiential understanding of land based transformational learning and nature connection. During your stay you will also deepen your understanding of both the educational and therapeutic opportunities and value in felting, clay and willow weaving as traditional crafts.

Who is it for?

This is for you if you are a teacher or educator who wishes to connect with Embercombe and explore the possibility of working with us in some way. The training is funded by Awards for All, so we are offering this opportunity at a very low rate for the right people.

This is for you if you want to develop your facilitation skills and the use of traditional crafts in your work, gain an understanding of how craft supports the development and education of individuals, and explore the use of craft as a vehicle for transformative learning experiences.

This is for you if you want to experience nature as a powerful teaching resource; to reconnect with your own sense of purpose and to reflect on the reasons you chose to teach or work as a practitioner.

This is for you if you want a theoretical understanding of how to design and deliver experiential and transformative learning, engage in a deeper exploration of sustainability and the natural world and have a powerful personal experience at Embercombe.
