Laura is a mother, speech therapist & health educator. Her passion is to empower other parents to help them meet their childrens’ needs, on many levels; to help make parenting a little easier; to throw some light on this challenging & rewarding responsibility.
How to Talk So Kids Will Listen (by award-winning authors Faber & Mazlish) is a series of 6 workshops for parents. The goal of the workshops is to give parents practical effective methods of communication that will make their relationship with children of all ages less stressful & more rewarding.
Parents will learn how to:
Discipline without hurting or alienating
Cope with your child’s negative feelings
Engage your child’s cooperation
Help your child develop a realistic & positive self-image
Foster an atmosphere of love & respect
Resolve conflicts peacefully.
The sessions will be from 10 – 11:30, for 6 weeks, & will be offered on a donation basis. Booking is essential.
Dates are: Jan 26, Feb 2, 9, 23, March 1, 8, 15
Location: The Round Tower, Frome
If you are unable to make one of the sessions, Laura is prepared on this occasion to work with you on an individual basis to catch up.
