Terms & Conditions

Deposit

  • Before setting up a Payment Plan with Embercombe, the Payer must pay the non-refundable 25% Deposit for the Programme, by purchasing a ‘Deposit Ticket’ on the event booking page.

Payment Plans for Weekend and Week-Long Programmes

  • The full Amount must be paid by the Payer to Embercombe a minimum of 5 working days ahead of the Programme Start Date. Failure to pay the Full Amount by this time will result in the Participant being unable to partake in the Programme.
  • Maximum length of the Payment Plan is either 12 months or until 5 days before the Programme Start Date, whichever is shorter.
  • If the Payer cancels or defaults on the Payment Plan more than 2 months before the Programme Start Date, only the Deposit will be retained by Embercombe. Any additional payments will be refunded to the Payer.
  • If the Payer cancels or defaults on the Payment Plan less than 2 months before the Programme Start Date, the Payer will still be liable for the Full Amount and no monies will be refunded.

For the avoidance of doubt, the following programmes qualify as Weekend and Week-Long Programmes: The Journey, The Hearth. The Experience Weekends, Introduction to Rewilding, The Rewilding Training Online Modules (if booking online modules only)

Payment Plans for Year-Long Programmes

  • 40% of the Total Amount must be paid to Embercombe a minimum of 5 working days ahead of the Programme Start Date. This 40% includes the Deposit.
  • In order for the Participant to attend the Programme, a Payment Plan must be in place at the Programme Start Date.
  • The Full Amount must be paid to Embercombe a minimum of 28 working days ahead of the Programme End Date. Failure to pay the Full Amount by this time will result in the Participant not being able to continue participating in the Programme.
  • The maximum length of the Payment Plan is either 18 months or until 28 days before the Programme End Date, whichever is shorter.
  • If the Payer cancels or defaults on the Payment Plan more than 2 months before the Programme Start Date, only the Deposit will be retained by Embercombe. Any additional payments will be refunded to the Payer.
  • If the Payer cancels or defaults on the Payment Plan less than 2 months before the Programme Start Date, the Payer will still be liable for the Full Amount and no monies will be refunded.
  • If the Payment Plan is cancelled or defaulted on by the Payer during the Programme, the Participant will not be able to continue participating in the Programme. The Full Amount will still be due to Embercombe.

For the avoidance of doubt, the following programmes qualify as Year-Long Programmes: Where the Wild Things Are, The Twin Trail, The Rewilding Training

Definitions

  • “Programme” refers to the course, event or programme that is taking place at Embercombe that the Participant wishes to take part in
  • “Participant” refers to the person attending the Programme. This individual may also be the Payer.
  • “Payer” refers to the person paying for the Participant to attend the Programme This individual may also be the Participant.
  • “Payment Plan” refers to the agreement that the Payer will pay the Balance to Embercombe in equal monthly installments
  • “Full Amount” refers to the total price of attending the Programme. This may be a Regular, Supporter or Bursary Ticket.
  • “Deposit” refers to 25% of the Full Amount
  • “Balance” refers to 75% of the Full Amount
  • “Programme Start Date” refers to the first date of the Programme. This may be in-person or online.
  • “Programme End Date” refers to the last date of the Programme. This may be in-person or online.
