Spring Equinox Weekend

Join us for our first Experience Weekend of the year, with a budding spring celebration.

With the Embercombe Team

Join us for the Spring Equinox ceremony, a chorus of abundant bird song and a chance to spend time in community on the land of Embercombe.

Is this for you?

The Spring Equinox Experience Weekend offers you nurturing spaces in which to slow down, dream and reflect, as well as an array of activities to experience community and nature connection, which are at the core of what Embercombe offers.

Our 50 acre of oak woodlands, orchards, lake, stone circle and well garden will be open for exploration, either by yourself or in sessions guided by us. Whether you are coming alone, with friends or family, you will be made very welcome.

What to expect

Our Spring Equinox Experience Weekend line up will include:

  • A talk by the founder of Embercombe, Mac Macartney
  • Singing in harmony with Helen Yeomans of ‘Glorious Chorus’
  • Nature connection sessions with Xanthe Green
  • Outdoor activities with our Rewilding lead, Laura Fairs
  • An opportunity to help prepare our community meals; and an evening around the fireside, where we are all invited to enjoy and contribute with our own songs, music, stories, poems or riddles.

You are also invited to co-create and hold an earth ceremony with us in our Stone Circle to give gratitude to the earth and honour the beauty in the changing seasons.

I loved being a part of the process of cooking for the whole community!

Embercombe – Your Stay

Embercombe is a beautiful 50 acre rewilding estate on the edge of Dartmoor. It is a place to find a deep connection with nature – wild nature around us and wild nature within us. Our land is a mix of nature scapes to reconnect with, from mature oak woodlands that are over 150yrs old, meadows and pastures for our family of sheep we have on the land, to various fruit orchards and gardens to explore, as well as our sacred stone circle and sacred well to seek counsel from. It is a place for nature connection, self development, inspiration and engaging in nature.

You will stay in one of our beautiful yurt villages. Each yurt is furnished with comfortable beds and gas heaters. Both yurt villages have a compost toilets and running water. Full bathroom facilities with hot showers are available in the main building.

All your meals are included. Organic, vegetarian food is lovingly prepared on site using produce from the Embercombe garden wherever possible. Special diets are adeptly catered for. Please indicate if you require this on your booking form.
